Shuruq IV: Amplifying Arab Voices

About Olympia Arab Festival

Join RCF on Saturday, October 6th, 2018 (during Olympia Fall Arts Walk) from 11am-5pm at The Olympia Center (222 Columbia St. NW, Olympia, WA 98501) to joyfully and authentically celebrate and experience the food, culture, traditions, lifestyles, and peoples of the Arab world with Shuruq IV: Olympia Arab Festival, "Amplifying Arab Voices".

We will focus on the diversity and complexity of the Arab peoples by challenging stereotypes, showcasing Arab arts and performance, and celebrating diversity within our own community. The daylong festival has a variety of activities including a children's area, musical and dance performances, booths and vendors, panel presentations, art gallery, and food.

Cosponsorship Support

We need your support! As a cosponsor you can be a part of creating a memorable celebration of Arab culture that will fill The Olympia Center with performers, vendors, Arab-Americans from our local area and across the state, and so many others from our community and beyond who come to be part of the sharing and festivities. Your support will provide for the staffing and organization, the promotion, and the realization of this joyful gathering in downtown Olympia. Can you help us? We would love to include you as a cosponsor for Shuruq IV!

For this year's festival to be accessible to all and to have the greatest impact, there will be no admission fee. Expenses for the venue, performers, promotion, and staff support are significant. We must have financial help from individual, business, and organization cosponsors to make this possible, and time is short. We simply can't make this happen without help from our community businesses and organizations.

Businesses, organizations, and individuals are all welcome to cosponsor and will be recognized in event media, programs, web presence, and more!

Our Olympia Arab Festival in 2016 was wildly successful with over a thousand attendees from across the region sharing food, music, dance, speakers, crafts, and fun. At such a critical time in the Arab world, we hope you can help us create a fourth celebration of Arab culture of which we can all be proud.
