Co-Sponsor the 11th Annual Peace Works Conference

We are no longer accepting donations on this campaign, but there are other ways for you to support us today!

Help us harness our passionate feelings into effective social change!

We need your help! We welcome co-sponsors who want to support the development and engagement of hundreds of community members effecting social change. Your support will provide for the staffing, promotion, and realization of this event. You will help us answer some of the difficult questions surrounding coalition building, activism, and social change. Can you help us? We would love to include you, your organization, or your business as a co-sponsor for 2017 Peace Works Conference.

This year marks the 11th anniversary of Peace Works, a signature project of the Rachel Corrie Foundation for Peace and Justice. As you are all aware, the last year has seen an alarming rise in armed conflict, social bigotry, and political authoritarianism. At the same time, unprecedented numbers of people around the globe have rallied to resist the politics of hate. Many of us have felt fear and motivation, isolation and empowerment, disillusion and hope. Peace Works Conference 2017, From Marches to Movements, asks how we might harness these passionate feelings into effective social movements. What tools do community groups need to better organize themselves and network with others to meet vital needs? How can individuals become engaged and empowered in the political process to affect public policy?

We are delighted to have radical media maker and internet activist Winnie Wong as our Keynote Speaker. Winnie is a veteran organizer and grassroots activist who co authored the Women's March on Washington Guiding Vision and Definition of Principles and co founder of People for Bernie Sanders.

On Saturday, October 14, 2017, we are gathering people and organizations from around Washington and beyond to attend workshops, panel discussions, presentations and networking opportunities in the hopes of developing concrete strategies for justice, peace, and progressive social change. We'll be hosting the event at South Puget Sound Community College and the Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for Performing Arts in Olympia, WA from 9am to 6pm.
